Man, my weekly baby bump posts are getting later and later! Okay...so here is my 36 week bump photo taken last Thursday. I like to call it the "family portrait." That is Mark's boat in the background. They had been out to sea for a few weeks, and they were pulling in on my 36 week mark.
36 Week Family Portrait
(yes, the Navy/sub gets in the family photo too...all military spouses know Uncle Sam gets our husbands more than we do haha)
Heck, I'll even throw in another 36 week picture.
A few hours after the boat pulled in...
Mom and Dad (and the house for that matter) may not have been ready but Ella was! That's me all checked into my labor and delivery room at the hospital. (That's right, I'm a good Southern gal...I gave birth in my pearls :o)
While Mark was out to sea I made it a point to give Ella frequent little pep talks about how she could not join us until Daddy was home. Turns out that Ella is a very literal gal. Daddy had been home (read: the boat had been tied to the pier and all of the guys were still on there working) for a whopping 3 hours when she decided she was tired of her current home, my belly, and wanted to meet us in person.
About 8 hours after the 36 week family portrait and about 4 hours after checking into labor and delivery....
We had this little angel enter our lives.
Ella Miriam Waite is absolutely perfect! Mark and I are both in awe of how incredibly precious and beautiful she is. Even though she came 4 weeks early, Ella is healthy as can be. No NICU or extra days in the hospital for our lil' pumpkin!
Okay that is all for now. I'll post the full story soon because let me tell ya, it's a crazy one! (Well you didn't think any little girl of mine would come into the world like every other kid did you? Nope, she likes making it interesting just like her mama :o)

Congratulations!!!! She's beautiful. I can't wait to hear the story!:)
Yaaaay!!! I'm so happy for you and Mark, and SOO glad that Ella was a good little girl and waited until her daddy returned. :) She's SO precious and perfect and we're SO happy for you all. You and your little family will be in our thoughts, especially these next few weeks as Ella adjusts to this new dry, sometimes uncomfortable world and mom and dad adjust to very little sleep and figuring how what makes their angel happy. :)
SOOOOO excited for you all!
Great story! Can't wait to hear the deats! Love that your hubby made it home in time, Ella has impeccable timing already! And I love love that you were wearing your pearls!! Congratulations on her happy and healthy arrival!
